as we all probably know; the Roman Catholic church has different doctrine regarding salvation by grace then the Protestant church does. what are your opinions regarding the doctrine of each church on this matter; and how do you feel that they compare to each other?

i wish i knew the answer to that. i personaly believe that its by faith we are saved. not by our deeds but if someone is truly in christ the deeds will be their as well as well. if you dont step out of your comfort zone and do some things out of the spirit pulling you to do something then your faith will get smaller and smaller. read James chapter 2

its funny cuz a protestant will deny a catholic as a catholic will a protestant......its a huge insecurity that we as humans tend to condemn and demonize things that dont parrallel to what we are feel or believe........ive spoke with both my pastor and my priest on this matter without informing them that i had or was planning on inquiring the other.......the weight of grace over deeds is the same on both side.....james tells us about this.....the difference is how they percieve this.....catholics use the works of man in the spirit to discern that ones faith.......as to where the protestant sees it as boastfull to focus on your works so for the well being of thier members souls they have indoctrinated that works do not bring salvation....but only through christ does one recieve everlasting life.......catholics stand the same ground to which only through christ canone inhereit everlasting life.........they just see it differently
